Traditional Bagel Dough Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Yeast Leavening

How To Make A Bagel

  1. The ingredients need to be mixed and kneaded in order to form the dough
  2. The dough is then shaped in the familiar bagel shape, which is round with a whole in the middle
  3. The bagels need to be proofed for at least 12 hours at a temperature between 40 and 50 °F.
  4. Boil the bagel in water (water may contain additives)
  5. Bake the bagel anywhere between 350 and 600 °F.
